AEW International Championship

Orange Cassidy (C) vs. Nick Wayne

Nick Wayne’s theme hits and out he comes as Cassidy’s opponent. Christian Cage, Wayne’s mom and Killswitch are at ringside with him. The bell sounds and off we go with this title tilt. The two immediately get after it. Cassidy goes for Beach Break early, but Wayne avoids it. Wayne goes for Wayne’s World, but Cassidy avoids that as well.

The two spill out to the floor. Wayne hits a moonsault off the ropes onto Cassidy on the floor. Wayne leaps off the apron for another high spot, continuing to focus his attack on the ribs of the champ. Cassidy starts to fight back, but Cage gets involved. The ref sees this and ejects The Patriarchy from ringside for a big pop.

On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues. When we return, we see Wayne still dominating the action. Cassidy takes over but out comes Matt Taven and Mike Bennett from The Undisputed Kingdom to try and distract him.

Roppongi Vice runs out to make the save. Cassidy hits an Orange Punch for the win. Roderick Strong hits the ring after the match but Cassidy runs him off. We head to another break.

Winner and STILL AEW International Champion: Orange Cassidy

FTR & Daniel Garcia vs. Christian Cage, Killswitch & Nick Wayne

It’s main event time!

We return from the break to the familiar sounds of Christian Cage’s theme song. Out comes the TNT Champion accompanied by the rest of The Patriarchy — Killswitch and Nick Wayne. Also with them is Nick Wayne’s mom. They settle in the ring for our final match of the evening.

Now the entrance tune for their opposition plays, and out first comes Daniel Garcia to a big pop. We hear his friend, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joining Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly on special guest commentary for this one. FTR’s theme hits next and out comes Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with our main event of the evening here on this week’s episode of AEW Collision on TNT from the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.

After some early back-and-forth action from multiple members of both teams, we see Daniel Garcia and Nick Wayne as the legal two men in the ring for the first time in the bout. The commentators admit this is the pairing in this bout that they wanted to see the most. These two pick up the pace and the crowd comes to life.

Garcia and FTR knock Cage and his duo out to the floor. Garcia does the pose for his goofy dance, as do FTR, for a big pop. On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

When we return from the break, we see Killswitch is easily handling the trio of FTR and Garcia with punishing offense by himself. He keeps going to try and finish things off, but the pins keep getting broken up. As the action continues, we head into another mid-match advertising time out.

Following the final commercial time out of the evening, we see things go wild to wrap up this main event trios bout. When all is said-and-done, it is Nick Wayne and Daniel Garcia battling to the finish line

Garcia ends up scoring the pin fall after avoiding a spear and rolling up Wayne. After the match, Garcia does his dance to taunt Christian at ringside. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!

Winners: Daniel Garcia & FTR

TNT Championship
Christian Cage (C) vs. Dustin Rhodes

The theme for Christian Cage hits and out he comes accompanied by Nick Wayne and Killswitch for his latest defense of the TNT Championship in our opening contest, which is our first of three title matches scheduled for tonight’s show.

After he settles in the ring his music dies down and the theme for his opponents hits. Out comes Dustin Rhodes to a big pop from the crowd. He settles in the ring and his music dies down. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

Cage controls the offense early on, taking it to Dustin with strikes, however “The Natural” catches the TNT Champion coming off the ropes with a snap-bodyslam to shift the momentum in his favor.

The fight spills out to the floor where Dustin slams Christian face-first into the announce desk. He then sends him into the steel steps so hard that he went flying over them like Mankind in his WWE prime. Dustin stays on Cage and brings the action back into the ring.

Dustin climbs up on Christian for punches in the corner, but Cage slams Dustin face-first into the ring post. This sends Dustin out to the floor. Cage leaps off the top-rope over the top of the ring post from inside the ring to splash onto Rhodes on the floor at ringside.

On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as the action in our opening title tilt continues. When we return, we see Dustin fighting back only to be sent to the floor with authority by the champ. Back in the ring, Dustin begins fighting back.

Rhodes gets Cage’s legs up on the ropes in the corner for the “Natural Kick” (Shattered Dreams) but Cage escapes before he can connect. Cage takes over and chokes Dustin on the middle rope as the fans loudly boo and then try and rally behind Dustin with chants.

We see Cage sent to the floor and then Dustin goes for a dive through the ropes but Cage catches him coming out with a big shot. He whiplashes him off the ropes after that and then climbs to the top-rope for a big frog splash. He goes for the cover but Dustin kicks out after the count of two.

As the action continues, Dustin rolls Cage up in a tight cradle, but the referee is distracted. While the ref is tied up, Nick Wayne hits the ring and rolls them so that Cage has Dustin in a cradle pin attempt.

The ref turns around and begins counting, but Dustin kicks out again to keep this one going. Dustin gets Cage’s legs on the ropes again and this time he connects with the “Natural Kick.” Dustin follows that up with a super-plex off the ropes and then a Cross-Rhodes for a close near fall attempt.

Killswitch and Nick Wayne get involved again, leading to Dustin hitting Nick with a Destroyer on the floor. Back in the ring, Dustin walks into a Spear from Cage, who follows up with his Killswitch finisher. He goes for the cover, but again Dustin kicks out. He hits a second Killswitch and gets the win to retain in an excellent opener.

Winner and STILL TNT Champion: Christian Cage

Christian Cage’s 2024 State Of The Union

When we return inside the Prudential Center, the theme for Christian Cage hits and out comes the TNT Champion accompanied by Nick Wayne, Nick’s mom and Killswitch (Luchasaurus). They settle in the ring where Tony Schiavone is standing.

First up, Nick Wayne’s mom talks and gives a big dramatic introduction to Christian Cage. Cage then goes on a lengthy rant about his TNT Championship victory at AEW Worlds End 2023, which he takes full credit for and completely ignores Killswitch being the one who actually did it for him.

He puts over Nick and his mom but again blatantly ignores Killswitch. The fans chant “Luchasaurus!” He then talks about how he has beaten Adam Copeland twice in two in-ring meetings in AEW. As he continues talking the fans again chant “Luchasaurus!” Cage yells at them to shut up and informs them his name is Killswitch.

TNT Championship (No DQ Match)
Christian Cage (C) vs. Adam Copeland

Now the video package airs to tell the story leading up to our next match of the evening, which features the TNT Championship on-the-line, as reigning title-holder Christian Cage puts his title on-the-line against longtime former friend turned bitter rival Adam Copeland in a No Disqualification match.

After the package wraps up, we return inside Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum where we hear the familiar sounds of Adam Copeland’s theme music. Out comes “The Rated-R Superstar” to a mega reaction from the Long Island crowd. He makes his way out and heads to the ring as fireworks and pyro erupts.

The commentators point out that Copeland is wearing the same ring gear that he wore during his infamous hardcore match against Mick Foley in the past from WrestleMania. He settles in the ring to a sustained roar and poses to the crowd on the ropes in the corner. His music dies down and the theme for his opponent plays.

On that note, out comes the reigning and defending TNT Champion Christian Cage accompanied by Nick Wayne and Shayna Wayne. He makes his way down to the ring to a ton of boos, but he doesn’t get half way down the entrance ramp before Copeland exits the ring and sprints up after him to get things started early. The bell sounds and they brawl on the entrance ramp.

Copeland beats Cage down as they walk throughout the crowd. He gets him down and climbs up to the top of a balcony as the crowd goes wild. He leaps off and splashes onto the TNT Champion way down below. He continues beating Cage down with a cane in the crowd. Copeland even yells at Nigel McGuiness to shut up on commentary. The fans chant “You still got it!”

After some interference from his “Family,” Cage takes over. Cage goes to work on the long injured neck of Copeland, who also has a badly busted open and swollen eye. Cage uses a cane to smash down on the injured neck of Copeland and then slaps him in a Sharpshooter while he’s got a steel chair leaning down over his back for added leverage. Copeland fights back and takes over but Cage frees himself in the ropes.

“The Rated-R Superstar” grabs a ladder and wedges it into the ropes in the corner as the fans loudly chant “TLC! TLC!” He sends Cage first into the ladder wedged into the ropes. Cage catches Copeland charging at him with a low blow with a cane, which allows him to shift the offensive momentum back into his favor. The two climb up a ladder. Cage hits a sunset flip power bomb to bring Copeland down the hard way.

Christian and Nick Wayne set up a table outside of the ring at the bottom of the entrance ramp. As Cage hops on the apron, Copeland recovers and fans chant “We Want Fire!” hoping to see a spot that matches Copeland’s special ring gear tonight from “The Rated-R Superstar’s” past. Cage avoids a spear attempt from Copeland through the ropes, but Copeland still hits an impaler DDT on a chair on Cage.

Fans break out into a loud “This is Awesome!” chant as Copeland looks to blast Cage with a con-chair-to. Nick Wayne hops on the apron to provide a distraction, which allows Cage to blast Copeland with a low blow. He rolls him up and goes for the cover, but Copeland kicks out at the count of two. A table is set up long ways leaning in the corner. Cage goes to Spear Copeland through it but Copeland avoids it and Spears Cage through it instead.

When we see Copeland go for the win, Shayna Wayne gets involved. Nick Wayne also bashes Copeland with a TNT title shot. He hits a Wayne’s World off the buckles onto Copeland on the floor. He puts Copeland back into the ring. He stands up and he and Cage bump into each other back-to-back, where Cage immediately hits a Killswitch and goes for the cover, only for Copeland to once again kick out at two.

Cage and Wayne light the table on fire at ringside as fans chant “Holy sh*t! Holy sh*t!” Cage rolls back into the ring and picks up a lifeless Copeland, who fights back and decks Cage. He knocks Nick down and starts pouring more gas on the fire, which ends up going out. The fans chant “You sick f*ck!” He lights it and then Nick Wayne gets put through it in front of his mom. Christian Cage tries a cheap shot with the belt upon Copeland getting back in the ring, but Copeland hits a low blow and then hits Cage with his own Killswitch finisher for the win.

Winner and NEW TNT Champion: Adam Copeland

TNT Championship
Adam Copeland (C) vs. Christian Cage

After the match, Killswitch (Luchasaurus) appears behind Copeland and attacks him as the crowd boos. He has his TNT title contract after winning the battle royal earlier tonight. He teases cashing it in now. Cage tells him to give it to him so he can use it instead.

Killswitch looks defeated and hands the contract over to Cage, who signs it and hands it to the ref to cash it in right now. The bell rings again and Cage charges at Copeland and hits him with his own Spear finisher. He covers him and wins back the TNT title.

Winner and NEW TNT Champion: Christian Cage

Christian Cage Responds To Adam Copeland’s No DQ Challenge For Worlds End 2023

Now we return inside the arena where we hear the familiar sounds of the entrance theme music of the reigning TNT Champion Christian Cage. Out he comes with Nick Wayne to make his response to the No DQ title match challenge issued to him by his former longtime friend turned rival Adam Copeland.

Cage starts off by telling San Antonio to sit down, shut up and let him handle his business. He brings up Nick’s mom smashing Copeland in the head with his TNT Championship when they met in Montreal. He says he could explain it, but why should he when she can do it herself. He introduces Nick’s mom and out comes Shayna Wayne.

She takes exception to the boos from the fans. She asks how they could boo a mother. She bring up having to watch Copeland smash a steel chair into her sons head. She says after that, she can’t understand why anyone would question her actions in Montreal. She praises “The Patriarch” Christian Cage for his role in Nick’s life.

Cage goes on to brag about Montreal being great for him and bad for Copeland. He says he not only scored a win but he scored in other ways that night, while looking at Shayna. He then accepts Copeland’s challenge for AEW Worlds End, but tells him he is no challenge. He claims he’s levels above him and everyone else in the business.

At Worlds End, on behalf of Copeland’s mother, he’s gonna take him behind the shed and put him down in Long Island for the last time. His theme hits again to end the promo segment as the commentators hype Copeland-Cage II at AEW Worlds End 2023

Christian Cage Rechristens Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne

When we return from the break, we hear Christian Cage’s theme song and out comes the TNT Champion and “The Patriarchy” leader himself, accompanied by Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. The three settle in the ring and Christian gets on the mic. He tells the fans to shut up when he’s conducting business.

Cage then goes on to say he didn’t lose to Adam Copeland, Sting and Darby Allin at AEW Full Gear 2023 this past Saturday night. He says Nick Wayne didn’t lose to them either. He says Luchasaurus lost to them. He said he thought all weekend about how to lose the stench of failure.

He says as Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne’s father he wants to rechristen them in his image. He tells Luchasaurus to take a knee. Luchasaurus doesn’t. Cage demands over and over again and he finally does. He says the name Luchasaurus is associated with a loser. He says he came up with a name of toughness and certain victory.

He says you are my finisher and this Saturday he’ll prove it as he’ll for now on be known as Killswitch. He then says Nick Wayne. Wayne drops down to a knee without being told to. Cage tells him to get back on his feet. He says not to ever get on his knees for another man. He says he’s different, he’s special.

He says he’s the son he always wanted, his golden boy. He says you are me. He tells Nick he loves him and as a golden boy he will now forever be known as The Prodigy Nick Wayne. Nick’s mom runs down and enters the ring. Cage asks why she’s out here. She pleads with Nick until Cage cuts her off and tells her she’s a terrible mother.

Cage continues to run down Nick’s mom for being a waitress who never had any money and couldn’t provide for Nick. He says it’s a good thing her husband is dead because he’s not half the man Cage is and wouldn’t of been half the father he will be to The Prodigy Nick Wayne. He tells her to leave the ring and go start her shift at Dennys.

Lucha…Killswitch gets in Cage’s face. Cage again tells Killswitch to get on his knees. Cage yells at him to not look at him with that stupid look on his face. He demands him get on his knees again. Cage slaps him. The fans chant “Luchasaurus!” Cage tells him they can do this the easy way or the hard way.

He says to get on his knees or he’ll take that mask off and show the world why he wears a mask in the first place. He shoves him and he bumps into Nick’s mom, who collapses on the mat. Cage gives Nick some orders. Nick goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair. He slides it into the ring and grabs another.

Cage has one and he has the other. The two get ready to deliver a con-chair-to to Nick’s mom. Cage stops before swinging the chair and then hands it to Killswitch and demands he do it now. Killswitch gets ready to do it but Adam Copeland sprints down and cleans house of all three guys to make the save for Nick’s mom. Copeland gives Nick a con-chair-to as Cage screams “No, not my son!”
